Case Study

Most facade shows treat the building as a screen. Here the building became the performer: an animated character whose eyes, mouth and expressions were mapped onto the real architectural features, speaking directly to the crowd below.

Character-driven mapping demands frame-accurate lip sync and expressions that survive projection onto stone — a very different discipline from abstract facade graphics, and one audiences reward with genuine engagement.

The show was commissioned as part of 'Czytanie na Trawie' (Reading on the Grass), the National Centre for Culture's reading-promotion programme run nationwide by Poland's Ministry of Culture and National Heritage — proof that projection mapping can carry an educational campaign as memorably as a product launch.
